Mizh’s consultants have worked across the United States and in other countries in support of civic programming both youth and adult populations. This work includes profits with US Nonprofits, European NGOs, educational institutions, and local governments.

Voter Engagement Live Stream and Discussion Panel Projects, United States (2020)
In Eugene, OR, during the lead up to national and local elections in the United States, a live-stream program was developed to encourage eligible voters to participate in the voting process. A panel was assembled and moderated by local university students, and a livestream was broadcast to local audiences to showcase the discussion. The project moved from design phase to completion in approximately 2 months, engaging nearly a dozen live-stream participants in live interviews and recorded discussions for the program.
Activities Performed:
- Designed overall program structure, including selection of topics for the panel discussion, identifying subject matter experts and guests to feature on the broadcast.
- Selected and trained livestream hosts on best practices in discussion panel facilitation and virtual engagement
- Coordinated the technical arrangements for the livestream broadcast
- Secured nonprofit partners and representatives to be featured on the livestream
- Conducted debriefs with program participants and gather lessons learned
NGO Needs Assessment for Youth Civic Engagement, Ukraine (2019)
This project focused on revitalizing the community outreach and engagement efforts of a youth-focused Ukrainian NGO. The project involved a Needs Assessment of the organization and its community, which was followed by the design and implementation of new outreach strategies to youth at local schools.
Activities Performed:
- Carried out a Resource and Needs Assessment using interviews and group S.W.O.T. analysis techniques
- Designed a youth engagement project to connect youth to the NGO’s activities and focus
- Designed and carried out an outreach strategy to local schools and local government partners
- Facilitated youth participation in NGO programming to increase youth retention in civics activities
